A WEEKEND OF BIG FUN AND BIG FLAVOUR WITH JOHNNIE WALKER AND ROCKING THE DAISIES


Johnnie Walker has rolled out the carpet for its second instalment as headline sponsor of the biggest music festival in Africa, Rocking the Daisies. Attendees have been promised a weekend of world-renowned entertainment, delectable food, innovative consumer experiences and of course, big flavour serves of Johnnie Walker. These cocktail recipes are innovative, flavourful, and whisky like you have never experienced it before.

 

Try out these delicious recipes at home and get a taste of what is to come at Rocking the Daisies:

  

SOUTHSIDE

 

50ml Johnnie Walker

10ml Agave Syrup

20ml Lime Juice

6 Leaves – Mint

2 Dash – Green Tabasco

Garnished with mint leaf and sliced Jalapeno.

 

Measure Johnnie Walker into shaking tin. Measure agave syrup and lime juice into shaking tin. Add mint and green tabasco to shaking tin. Add ice, shake and fine strain into a rocks glass over cubed ice and add garnish.

 

 

SPRING CUP (Serves 4)

 

75ml Johnnie Walker

75ml Pimm’s No. 1 Cup

100ml Apple Juice

200ml Ginger Ale

1/2   Pear

6 Drops – Cardamon Bitters

 

Chop pear and add to jug with cubed ice. Measure Johnnie Walker and Pimm’s into jug. Add 6 drops of bitters to the jug. Pour apple juice and ginger beer into jug. Give everything a stir and add pear slices and thyme sprigs to glasses.

Whiskey Sour

50ml Johnnie Walker
20ml Lemon Juice
15ml Egg White (Or Vegan Alternative)
15ml Almond Syrup (10ml Orgeat, 5ml Sugar Syrup)

 

Mixologist will use dry and wet shaking. They will then elaborate on the cocktail and flame three small marshmellows on a skewer to complete the experience.
