THE 16TH ANNUAL iTHEMBA WALKATHON
WELL-KNOWN PERSONALITIES GET BEHIND THE 16TH ANNUAL iTHEMBA WALKATHON
Having launched ticket sales to the 16th edition of the iThemba Walkathon online a few weeks ago, Avon Justine today proudly announced the support of several well-known South African personalities, who are personally backing the world’s biggest breast cancer walkathon.
The walkathon takes place virtually on Sunday, the 3rd of October, and will once again feature decentralised walks across the country, encouraging participants to walk in small, socially distanced groups within their neighbourhoods. Getting behind the crusade for a 5th consecutive year is renowned TV actor Kay Sibiya and his partner Judie Kama.
In addition, TV presenter and model Abigail Visagie, as well as entrepreneur/TikTok sensation Semone Skosan and her family are backing this prestigious event.
The long-standing iThemba Walkathon advocate, the legendary Lilian Dube, will this year be joined by a fellow cancer survivor/actress Mbali Maphumulo in support of the crusade to raise awareness around breast cancer. Other well-known figures include comedian extraordinaire Nina Hastie, radio personalities Carissa Cupido, Putco Mafani and Bujy, Bikwa, actors Thandy Matlaila and Cedric Fourie, Sports TV hosts Lebo Motsoeli, Simphiwe Dludlu (ex Banyana Banyana player), fashion designer Mbali Ndlela, along with content creators Boitumelo Rametsi and Clarrisa M.
