Jabulile Majola & Thando Zide Release "Isineke" – A Heartfelt Afro Folk Single and the Pre-Add Launch of "Isitifiketi" EP
Two of South Africa’s most exciting emerging voices, Jabulile Majola and Thando Zide, come together on “Isineke”, a song that explores themes of patience and reconciliation in relationships. The single also marks the pre-add launch for Majola’s debut solo EP, Isitifiketi, set for full release on 25 April 2025.
“Isineke” is a reflection on the effects of a breakdown of communication on a relationship and the effort it takes to return to love and understanding. Majola describes the song as focusing on “the distance and lack of understanding that causes strain between two people. It’s about returning to the basics—communicating with patience and love, addressing personal pain, and moving forward together.”
Despite the physical distance between the two artists, the collaboration with Thando Zide feels incredibly intimate and connected. Majola and Zide come together in a deep, genuine conversation, making it feel as though they are right there in the same room, speaking directly to one another. Both artists, rooted in emotive storytelling, shine individually, yet their shared vulnerability in this collaboration elevates the track, creating something truly special.
‘Isineke’ is from Majola’s upcoming debut solo release ‘Isitifiketi’, an EP exploring themes of identity and self-discovery. ‘Isitifiketi’ is an honest reflection of Majola’s upbringing in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands, where storytelling shaped his understanding of the world and his place in it. The EP includes a remastered version of the fan-favourite “Woza Mntana” and an acoustic version of “Amagugu”.
The pre-add for Isitifiketi is available now on all streaming platforms, with the full EP releasing on 25 April 2025.
