Local entrepreneur launches premium tea brand, Tlou Tea into the market

Tlou Tea

100% female owned South African premium tea brand has just launched into the market. Tlou Tea offers a range of hand-blended teas with carefully selected herbs, spices, botanicals and carefully selected adaptogens that aid mental and physical well-being.

Owner and founder, Ditshego Sedikela, comes with years of experience and has explored many forms of wellness, from mental and spiritual to physical wellness. This then led her to start exploring the benefits of tea, the ingredients and what the perfect cup of tea should embody.

“There is so much nurture in nature. At Tlou Tea, we have intentionally hand- blended our teas with only the best ingredients. I want to challenge the "milk & sugar" culture in South Africa, and I want you to be part of the journey,” comments Ditshego.

The story behind Tlou Tea stems from not only a passion for tea but the health benefits that a cup of tea can offer. Adaptogens are plant herbs and functional mushrooms which are known to assist the body’s natural performance against wear and tear, otherwise known as, daily stress and fatigue.

Tlou Tea boasts a range of six tea blends, made from the finest natural ingredients to provide nurturing with every cup. The range includes; African Earl Grey, Chaga Chai , Sweet Sleep, Tropical Green, Rooibos Delight as well as Delicious Berries.

“All of our ingredients are locally sourced and blended to ensure our products are of the highest quality and of course, delicious too. To us, at Tlou Tea, our goal is to nurture a new generation of tea lovers and to be a partner in wellness”, concludes Ditshego.

All products are available on the Tlou Tea website with the intention of partnering with other retail partners in the near future.
