The Nongoma based singer songwriter pens a heartfelt song about the burdens he is carrying. Ngithwele is a Zulu saying which loosely translates to someone carrying a load and in this smash hit record which features the infamous maskandi guitar laced with an afro-pop beat, Imacsoul unleashes a powerful chant as he prays to the heavens saying Ngithwele Kanzima, heavenly father could you help me out.
“ I’ve been paying close attention to what is going on social media and looking at all the tragedies various people are going through made me sit back and look at the world from a different perspective.”
“I come from a rural area and many who are like me who come from small underdeveloped towns will tell you how we dream of making it big in a big city with bright lights. When i was writing this song i was not only penning my cries to the heavens but i was conveying a message which many people have who carry a heavy load. There is a line in the song which says Ngoba ukuhlabelela kuyamelapha odabukileyo, (kuyamelapha)- and when I wrote this verse I thought of all the amazing artists who heal through preaching. This song an anthem for anyone who wants to sing out to the heavens”
Having released a few singles and an EP titled Ukhehlegume - Imacsoul who is currently in studio is working on a full body of work. “ Ngithwele is just a taste of what's to come and i aim to still grow as a songwriter and artist”
