SPECIAL OLYMPICS SOUTH AFRICA PROUDLY APPOINTED AS A BRAND NEW SOUTH AFRICA 2021 PLAY YOUR PART AMBASSADOR


At an event on 30 September 2021, Special Olympics South Africa (SOSA) was appointed by Brand South Africa as one of their Play Your Part Ambassadors.
 
As the Nation Brand custodian for South Africa, Brand South Africa firmly acknowledges that Nation Brand building requires a collective effort from various stakeholders. In addition to the Private Sector, Public Sector and Civil Society Groups, Nation Brand building, Brand South Africa works with individuals like Play Your Part Ambassadors and ordinary individuals doing extra ordinary things that positively contribute towards making South Africa a better place for all.
 
Brand South Africa has broadened its appreciation by acknowledging and recognising these active citizens as “Play Your Part” Ambassadors for the outstanding work that they do.
 
Play Your Part” is a nationwide programme created to inspire, empower and celebrate active citizenship in South Africa.  It aims to lift the spirit of our nation by inspiring all South Africans to contribute to positive change, become involved and start doing.
 
SOSA CEO, Ms Ancilla Smith, was at the event to receive the honour “As Special Olympics South Africa we are indeed honoured for being acknowledged and appointed as a Brand SA ambassador. This acknowledgement speaks volumes to the role that our athletes with intellectual disabilities play in our society. We will continue to share their many achievements both locally and internationally as they do our nation proud.”
