“I never thought I was going to last this long, from 2007 and until now - 15 years later. I was the first to win it back to back, and the first to have the champion title three times, I was the first to represent South Africa at the Middle East Africa battles. It feels good to be back, my age requires me to train harder especially with the new talent coming up but I look forward to showing up and representing my country in New York.” said the winner of Red Bull BC One in South Africa B-Boy The Curse.

In February and March, Red Bull BC One hosted four regional stops comprising of workshops and cyphers in Johannesburg, Gqheberha, Cape Town and Oudtshoorn in this search for the finalists that competed at this high-energy final showcase.

The three day Red Bull BC One camp highlighted the best of breaking culture through many festivities including graffiti battles, crew cypher battles such as the South Africa Heroes vs Africa Heroes Exhibition Battle, and the exhibition battle with the first generation of breakers in South Africa.
