Stroll along the Proudly South African Delicious Mile on an around-the-world culinary adventure, taking in an array of taste experiences that will fire up your senses and make your taste buds tingle. All palates will be catered for, from vegan and halaal to pescetarian and unashamedly carnivore!
 
The festival has an abundance of food offerings spread out across its two handling tracks – the upper (close to the Channel O Dance Stage Celebrated with Johnnie Walker Blonde) and lower (adjacent to the Main Stage) – complemented by a number of standalone food trucks as well as tapas served from La Parada at The Savanna Delicious Lounge.
 
Festival veterans will no doubt make a beeline for established Delicious All Stars such as Poppy’s, with its legendary lamb curries and peri-peri chicken, the best fried chicken from Sumting Fresh and Wing Republic that will have you licking your fingers in appreciation of its hearty wings. Another local foodie institution, The Gourmet Shrine, will be back with its unmatched gourmet beef, chicken, fish and vegan burgers – so make sure to come hungry!
 
Craving Asian-inspired cuisine? Sample halaal bao buns and dim sum at Buns & Bowls; fusion sushi tapas at DimsumFest; Korean chip bowls and chicken strips at LuviesFood; spring rolls and freshly made Pad Thai at Baan Bootsbar; and dumplings and wonton at We Make Dumplings. Plus, Amelia’s Kitchen will be serving up chicken and vegetable curry and samoosas to make you swoon.
 
The legendary Oskido will not only be on the decks at the festival – his restaurant, Daruma by Oskido, will also take centre stage, serving up Japanese-style seafood and teppanyaki.
 
And if your taste runs more to comfort food, stop by Best Friend Street Food for American-style smash burgers and deep dish pizza; Cooking Soul for lip-smacking burgers and ribs; Balkan Burger with offerings such as the intriguingly named “Delicious Fest Stuffed With Stuff Burger”; and Brohemian Pizza for an array of scrumptious cheesy pizzas served from the biggest mobile wood-fired pizza oven in South Africa.
 
For the extra-hungry, iconic Soweto eatery Native Rebels has you covered. Challenge your appetite with their mega “Mama’s Native Double Burger with Fries”, topped off with a serving of stuffed jalapeño poppers? Or the “Pitmaster’s Plate”, comprising smoked BBQ brisket, pork belly and sausage, from Briskets and Biscuits? You know you wanna!
 
Latino passion and flavour await adventurous palates with Tex-Mex street-food tacos, nachos and burritos from Mocharritos; while La Mama will be serving paella as well as Argentinian Vacio Srett Buns with Chimchurri and salsa.
 
There is ample vegetarian and vegan fare on the festival menu, including Lebanese falafel wraps at Real Wraps; and veggie burgers and coconut fried rice at Exotikally Divine Pulse (who, incidentally, are a favourite of international artists such as Erykah Badu and Arrested Development, who have performed at the festival in the past and loved their delicious vegan cuisine). Plus, The Trout Palace is back with its sublime fresh trout fillets sourced from the mountain streams of Lesotho – ideal seafood fare to keep you well fueled throughout all the festivities.
