Paradise Worldwide are excited to announce the continuation of the Building Bridges Internship Programme, supported by the SAMPRA Development Fund. Two graduates will soon be joining the team at Paradise Africa Distribution in Rosebank, Johannesburg, embarking on an immersive journey in label management, rights management, and the nurturing of independent labels and artists.

One intern will engage closely with the Africa Rising Music Conference(ARMC), an independent, female-led conference that showcases the diverse and dynamic music scene in Africa. The conference aims to provide a platform for music industry players to network, build bridges, and collaborate. ARMC is renowned for its mix of local and international delegates, focusing on both urban and electronic music industries, and forging connections between Africa, Europe, and the rest of the world.

As this year's program draws to a close, Paradise Worldwide’s Mike Kelly, expresses his admiration for the interns, sharing: “It's been a pleasure getting to know Namakau Socika and Martha Mangwani through their initial journey and training in Berlin, Germany in 2023, as well as their development in the Johannesburg office. They've both risen to the expectations we set out to achieve, demonstrating open-mindedness, eagerness to learn, and a passion for the music industry and the development of artists and record labels in the African diaspora. I'm looking forward to seeing their continued growth and success and look forward to the fresh perspectives and innovative ideas that the next edition will bring."

Paradise Worldwide’s commitment to global learning and development is further underscored by their team's participation in several prestigious international forums. Thabo Phahlane, Label Manager Paradise Africa, represented at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). Namakau Socika gained invaluable experience and connections at the Linecheck conference in Italy, the XP music conference in Saudi Arabia, and the JMI in Zimbabwe. These engagements highlight their dedication to cultivating young executives capable of operating at an international level and bringing a wealth of knowledge and connections back to enhance the independent music business.
