About Snoh Aalegra:

Iranian Swedish-born singer and songwriter Snoh Aalegra is one of the most exciting voices in recent time. Her sound evokes the soulful essence of her idols such as Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Prince, Michael Jackson, yet lined with an authenticity and raw emotion that is unparalleled and a deep sense of outsiderdom that is largely universal. Her music heavily draws from her life experiences and challenges as a person who’s long felt like an outsider and now coming into her own.

Her album -Ugh, Those Feels Again catapulted Snoh into stardom. It debuted as the #1 R&B album on iTunes and reached No. 6 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart. Hit single “I Want You Around” hit No. 1 for two weeks on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart, while “Whoa,” featuring Pharrell, went on to reach No. 2. Her sophomore album received large critical acclaim from NPR, Pitchfork, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, i-D, Associated Press, W Magazine, Paper Magazine, Women’s Wear Daily and many more. The album delves into the forces and feelings that fill the walls of her sound and mind - self love, independence, alienation, anxiety, toxic relationships and love, growth and hopefulness.

She then went on to release her third studio LP Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies, in 2019 featuring collaborations from Tyler, the Creator, James Fauntleroy, No I.D., The Neptunes, and more. Pitchfork declared the album “evocative and complex enough to establish Snoh Aalegra as a name worth remembering.” Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies also garnered Snoh her first pair of GRAMMY nominations in 2022 for “Best R&B Album” and “Best R&B Performance.”

Most recently, Snoh was nominated for “Best Traditional R&B Performance” at the 65th GRAMMY Awards for her spellbinding rendition of Bobby Caldwell’s “What You Won't Do For Love” entitled “DO 4 LOVE,” amassing over 300 million streams.
