The Much Anticipated Festival of Love EventMasa


This 3rd upcoming Festival of Love is about sharing the true gift of love; congeniality, reconciliation, healing and forgiveness in a fun-filled safe haven - Soweto Theatre.  It will span over a duration of two days which is scheduled to take place from, Friday 24th until Saturday, 25th February 2023.


The first day will include dinner coupled with entertainment by some of the best local acts from Slq Angel and Athari, a 10-piece band that has a nostalgic eye of a rare South African musical heritage lead by Composer and Director Mawande Stuurman as well as fun filled activities such as entry to the Happiest Smile Competition. An art exhibition will also take place to support local art which features work of the most talented sought after creators from contemporary visual artists to jewellers such as Soweto’s finest; Nqobile Nkosi, who is also the 2016 winner of the Tsogo Sun Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Day two will include team build exercises, games for kiddies as well as activities for families, couples, and singles. It will also consist of an informative, spiritual, therapeutic but entertaining panel of experts. They will cover topics such as the 5 Love Languages, conflict resolution, and the true meaning of Love – from Agape to Eros to name but a few. In addition, it will host a fashion show by local designers, musical performances, and more entertainment galore!!!

This feast of Love promises to create an environment for the audience to experience what it’s like to be serenated by the soul-shaking line-up featuring some of the premiere names in the soul and gospel world touching on everything Love, healing and Joy. This great partnership demonstrates the Theatre’s capabilities to be the serene backdrop for an event of such calibre within our world class facilities”, says Vincent Motau- Soweto Theatre General Manager.  
Throughout the duration of the event; Corporate’s and SMME’s are welcome to showcase and sell their wares as expo stands and stalls are for sale from a minimum fee of R450 per day. Tickets are also available from a cost of R80, and kids under 12years will enter for free.
The Happy People Happiest Smile Competition will continue under the various categories – kids, Family, Friends, Couples and Singles and gifts will come from the various stalls and contributions made by our stakeholders. This is another way to promote your products/services as we will also make a mention of them during our marketing campaign.  Optional counselling, prayer, and healing sessions in private break-away rooms will be available upon request.
In closing winners of the competition to be announced and awarded prizes thus bringing out the inner HAPPY you – in true Happy People & Festival of LoveFashion!
