Wind. Waves. Huge air… Red Bull King of the Air is the world’s premier Big-Air kiteboarding contest, featuring invited riders from around the globe. Viewers are in for an extreme-sports feast and can expect to see all the hottest action from the 9th edition of this iconic competition on Red Bull TV and Supersport Variety (DStv 208).
The event, which took place in late November in Cape Town – was a highly memorable one which saw New Zealander Marc Jacobs beating three-time champ Kevin Langeree to claim his first crown. While the final was a climax, there were many high points during the day, such as Polish young gun, Janek Grzegorzewski scoring the single-highest score in the event’s history.
For fans that couldn’t make it to Kite Beach last year, Supersport Variety (DStv Channel 208) will be airing the 2021 Red Bull King of The Air Highlights programme on Monday 28 February 2022 at 8pm. It is also available on demand at www.redbull.tv.
