THETHA NAMI

SPEEDSTA & DJ MILKSHAKE JOIN FORCES IN A COLLABORATION AS ‘NO COMPLY’ WITH HIP HOP SENSATIONS MUSTBEDUBZ, MAJORSTEEZ & LOKI TO MAKE MAGIC ON THEIR BRAND-NEW SINGLE – THETHA NAMI

It has been a very long time since we heard some fresh new music from both Speedsta and DJ Milkshake - Speedsta having the most recent release from August 2021 with "Pardon My French" featuring Zoocci Coke Dope and Lucasraps. The renowned duo has come together under a brand-new stage name “No Comply”. The renowned artists, who are no strangers in the hip-hop space, have sampled Tevin Campbell's 1993 RnB hit song, "Can We Talk" with their magic touch to produce their brand-new single ‘Thetha Nami’ featuring contributions from SkhandaWorld wonder-boy, Loki and the sensational hip-hop and RnB brother duo, MajorSteez which will be released under Universal Music South Africa.

The song has already been teased by the artists on their socials and as opposed to the duo’s new stage name ‘No Comply’, there seems to be many people complying to the highly anticipated single. It is good to see the kind of reception the duo receives from their lifelong fans even when they have missing in action for a minute. It is really nice to see they’re finally making a return to the airwaves with this new joint.

This marks Speedsta and DJ Milkshakes’ first single since establishing their collaboration as No Comply and with this kind of joint, there will definitely be hopes for more smash hits from the duo’s newfound collaboration as the single spearheads their upcoming EP.

The ‘Thetha Nami’ release from the stars comes as a special day-in-day drop as they present the visuals for their brand-new single. The ‘Thetha Nami’ music video will air for the first on television on Thursday, 10 November 2022 exclusively on Trace before the visuals drop on Friday, 11 November on YouTube and all other visual airing platforms.

About the song:

Sampled from Tevin Campbell’s 1993 RnB hit song “Can We Talk”, the joint forces have directly translated the title into the IsiZulu language hence the title “Thetha Nami” however the song is made to sound a lot more modern that the classic ‘Can we talk’ with a touch of their own flavour.
