Singer-Songwriter Leomile Unveils New EP, Nevermind

Leomile, a soulful singer-songwriter and composer, delivers a captivating blend of Sesotho and English in her music, addressing themes of identity, love, and belonging. Since the release of her debut album, Pula-Molomo, in 2016, she has graced prominent stages across the African continent. Notably, she was among the first artists supported by ALTBLK>>, a platform founded by Msaki that champions unique African independent artists.

Her latest project is a six-track Alternative Folk EP entitled Nevermind. The first single from the EP was released in August, and secured her a spot on the cover of Spotify's ALTER-native playlist and ongoing press and radio coverage.

Nevermind serves as an ode to rebirth and self-renewal, taking listeners on a complex romantic journey from the thrill of courtship to the heartache of separation. This EP navigates the intricacies of a love marked by imbalanced reciprocity, encouraging introspection as Leomile strives to nurture the relationship without losing her sense of self. The narrative delves into respecting the natural rhythms of relationships, emphasizing their role in deepening self-awareness and fostering personal growth. The work advocates for self-responsibility over self-doubt, promoting a sense of self-intimacy that thrives independently of external influences.
